For this project, the assignment was to fix an old, damaged photograph. We used photoshop tools like the clone stamp, eraser, border fill, and color correcting. The before and after can be seen above.
Distorted Painting
The assignment was to use the distort feature on photoshop to make the painting fit in every space in the museum. We also used the select tool to cut off half of the painting in the back because it is behind the wall.
Dropped Pocket Watch
For this minor project, we had to fix up the broken watch with the new face and set the time to 5:07. We used many cropping tools like the elliptical and the magic wand to get the clock parts out of the original white background. We used the distort feature to fit the face to the old watch . To make it look more natural, we adjusted the shadows and levels.
Daisy Duck Crop
To practice and refine our cropping ability, we had to crop Daisy out of her background in the woods and move her to the teal. I used the magnetic lasso tool to select Daisy and then the selection tool to move her to the top of the picture. I then used the clone stamp to fix any mistakes by taking teal from the top and going around any mistakes I may have made. The before is on the left and the after is on the right.
Old Photograph
For this minor project, we had to fix the picture on the bottom without clone stamping from the picture on the top. We googled a burberry jacket and used it as a layer under the background. From there, I selected some background from the left of the man and did a horizontal translation. This allowed me to reflect it and add background behind the woman in the coat. Then I just used clone stamp to fix the little things within the picture to make it look like it is in better shape.
